FLOOD UPDATE

Oak Life and Community, we need your help!
On Friday November 1st we were informed that a water line under Broadway had burst which caused a flood in the basement of Oakstop. Unfortunately, it looks like almost all of our gear and supplies were affected/contaminated (the water is considered dirty). This includes musical equipment, soundboards, speakers, computers, cameras, kids supplies, worship supplies, coffee makers, church signs, and other miscellaneous equipment. After taking inventory we've estimated roughly $18,000 in damages.
It does not appear that our current insurance will apply to this situation but it sounds like Oakstop is working with East Bay Mud for potential reimbursements. We're in active communication with them regarding this.
In the short term, Oakstop has given us permission to use their small sound-system until we replace ours. We will still be able to live-stream and offer amplified sound on Sundays, but it is not a long-term option and there are some technical issues at play. Also, our Finance Team and Leadership Team have given us the green light to begin replacing our equipment and fundraising to replenish our budget. That’s where you come in.
Oak Life has never been dependant on sound systems and equipment, we’ve always been about relationships. Over the yeras God has provided for our needs through the generosity of our community and we’re seeking some support from you all at this time. If you have the capacity, would you consider donating to help us replace our gear?
Thank you for helping make Oak Life such a wonderful expression of God’s expansive love for all!
